WESTCOURT APPOINT LUKE DAWSON
Westcourt Group has announced plans to expand its Yorkshire commercial property portfolio after appointing asset management specialist and chartered surveyor Luke Dawson as Head of Property Estates.
Luke joins the firm from national property and leisure management company Places for People. Prior to that, he worked for Harvey Burns Chartered Surveyors in Leeds.
He will be responsible for sourcing new development opportunities for Westcourt Group, the company behind the restoration of Grade II Listed Kenneth Hodgson House in Park Row, Leeds, into almost 3000 sq ft of boutique city centre office space.
Westcourt Group currently owns prominent commercial properties in Leeds, Sheffield, York, Harrogate, Rotherham, Ripon, Northallerton and Skipton with tenants including Dorothy Perkins, Caffè Nero and Skipton Building Society.
Tim Hodgson, director of Westcourt Group, said:
"Luke’s appointment would support the next stage of the business’s growth. We already have a strong regional property portfolio and the development of buildings like Kenneth Hodgson House has established us as specialists in the sensitive restoration of buildings of significant architectural interest.
We are keen to acquire a broad range of properties, including listed buildings and our aim is to build a residential portfolio alongside our commercial arm, which currently operates offices, restaurants, car dealerships and retail developments across Yorkshire.”
Luke Dawson said: “I have always admired Westcourt’s approach to property development and management and am delighted to be joining the firm at such an exciting stage in its development.”
